The process of getting rich is a lot more than just how much money you make. There is a certain belief system behind the process of getting rich that one must embrace. The philosophy of wealth is something that is can be taught but first starts in one’s own mind. The difference between those who build massive wealth and those who struggle often isn’t just intelligence or opportunity, but it’s perspective.
I’ve noticed a few consistencies that rich people have compared to average folks. One of the major things is that rich people believe that they deserve to be rich. It’s not arrogance; it’s an unshakable certainty. That leaves us with the first principle of accumulating wealth: you must feel like you deserve it.
You Deserve It
It doesn’t matter where you were born or what your ethnicity is, you need to believe that you deserve to get rich. No matter what industry they work in or where they live, rich people I’ve talked to all believe that they were destined to be rich. They don’t hesitate, they don’t second-guess, and they don’t apologize for it.
Whether you believe they deserve it or not is irrelevant to them. They don’t sit around debating if they should be wealthy—they just assume it’s going to happen and take action. You need to have this same approach when it comes to your wealth. Throw it into the universe that you deserve riches and you deserve abundance.
The money is already out there, circulating every second of every day. There’s an unlimited supply of it flowing through businesses, investments, real estate, and stock markets. Your job isn’t to create money—it’s to position yourself to receive more of it. This is the easiest it has ever been to position yourself on the receiving end of the cash register.
You can be a better person when you are rich. You can give more graciously and provide a higher quality of life for your family. You need to erase any limiting beliefs that you don’t deserve a rich life. Stop feeling guilty about wanting more.
If someone told you right now that you don’t deserve oxygen, would you stop breathing? No. You’d keep inhaling because you need it. That’s how you should view money—like air. It’s not greed, it’s pursuing the ability to thrive.
Eliminate the scarcity mindset and know that whatever you think about, comes about.
Don’t Align Yourself With The Average
It’s common to see a bombardment of articles about how Americans can’t afford a $1,000 emergency. You’ll see how homelessness is increasing, job layoffs are leaving people vulnerable, and the average income has stayed stagnant. These stories are meant to keep you in fear, to make you feel like money is slipping away from your grasp.
Listen, don’t let these things apply to you.
While some people are stuck in cycles of financial struggle, others are thriving. There are millions of people increasing their wealth every single year. Somebody just closed a million-dollar deal today. Someone just bought a house in cash. Someone just turned a side hustle into a six-figure business. Why focus on the people on the losing side of the spectrum?
There is abundance everywhere if you choose to look for it. What you decide to focus your time and energy on, will inevitably become your reality.
Your Richness Does Not Make Someone Else Poor
This should be a rule of life. Just because you are rich, does not mean you took away someone else’s ability to become rich. Wealth building is not a zero sum game.
You’ll see this narrative a lot in politics.
You can’t get a job because the immigrants have them.
You can’t build wealth because the rich people don’t pay taxes.
You can’t afford a house because corporations are buying them all.
You can’t get ahead because the system is rigged against you.
You’re in debt because college is too expensive.
You can’t make money because the economy is bad.
You can’t start a business because the market is too saturated.
You can’t retire because Social Security won’t be enough.
It’s all nonsense. There are tens of millions of people doing all of the things that you wish to do. There is nothing stopping you from accumulating wealth. The only thing in your way is yourself. The mindset of blaming external factors—whether it’s the economy, politics, or corporations only keeps you broke.
Abundance
The rule of abundance tells us that everything in this life is plentiful, especially money. You spent an entire year working to earn $50,000. Meanwhile, there are people spending $50,000 a month like it’s nothing.
So why are you limiting yourself to small thinking?
Don’t get it twisted though. I am fully aware that this isn’t a task that’s easy to achieve. It’s extremely difficult but so what? Are you afraid of putting in the necessary work? If you aim for $50,000 a month but fall short and only earn $20,000 a month, would you be disappointed? Or would a $20,000 month be a significant improvement over your current situation. Open your mind to the possibility of receiving more. Understand that nothing is impossible. Aim higher than what you know you can achieve. What’s the point of having a goal if you know for certain that you can achieve it.
When you set small goals, you stay in a small space. When you expand your vision, you stretch your capacity for wealth. Don’t believe me? Try it. I’ve had this approach for a few years now, and my income has only gone up.
The universe responds to the size of your ambitions.
Take Ownership
Everything is your fault. Everything is in your control.
This may sound harsh, but it’s the most empowering truth you’ll ever hear. The second you accept full responsibility for your life, you take back your power.
Most people walk around blaming everything except themselves:
Oh, the market is inflated so I didn’t get any sales.
The job market is tough so I can’t find anything.
The roads were icy so I crashed.
The boss didn’t like me so I didn’t get a raise.
These are all excuses.
The market is inflated? Someone is still making money.
The job market is tough? Someone just got hired.
The roads were icy? Someone else drove safely.
The boss didn’t like you? Someone else got promoted.
If you fail, it’s YOUR FAULT.
Instead of shifting blame, ask yourself how you can do better.
The moment you stop waiting for external conditions to change and start taking control, your life will transform. Victim mentality is like quicksand—it keeps you stuck. The only way out is to own every decision you make and every action you take.
Final Thought: You Owe It to Yourself
You deserve wealth. Not just because of the things it can buy, but because of the freedom it gives you. The freedom to live on your terms. The freedom to never stress about a bill again. The freedom to take care of your family, give to causes you believe in, and wake up every day without financial worry.
So stop playing small.
Stop making excuses.
Stop waiting for the right time.
The time is now. Start thinking like someone who deserves to be rich—and watch how fast things start changing.
